85. Mary Elizabeth O'Kelley was born on 3 October 1835 in Beaverdam Dis, OGLETHORPE CO.GA. She died on 16 October 1919 in ATHENS GA.. She was buried in O'Kelley Cemetery near Athens GA. I suspect she was named for her paternal grandmother Mary Crowder and her paternal great grandmother Elizabeth Dean.   In her book, Alethea Jane Macon mentions a visit she and an unidentified aunt made in 1910 to visit Aunt Betty and Macon reports that none of what her aunt shared with her in 1910 was ever proven to be incorrect.  Macon reports the knowledge was augmented from an ancient bible.  Aunt Betty's grandfather was deceased before her birth but her grandmother, Mary for whom she was likely named lived until Aunt Betty was near 20 years of age.

Mary Elizabeth O'Kelley and Abel Eberhart were married on 8 February 1855. Abel Eberhart died on 24 June 1911. He was born on 20 June 1933. He was buried in O'Kelley Cemetery. Co K.(Gilmer Blues)6th Ga.Reg.C.S.A.was in Battle of Kingston N.C.

Mary Elizabeth O'Kelley and Abel Eberhart had the following children:
