Francis Marion O'Kelley was born on 12 June 1787 in NC.56 He appeared in the census in 1850 in District 8, Rhea, Tennessee.57 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Kings River Madison Co Ar.58 Francis died after 1865 at the age of 78 in Bollinger Co., MO. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Union, Bollinger, Missouri. It seems certain that Francis was named after the revolutionary war hero, Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox and this is not something I believe a Virginia would do. Virginias named their children after their number one war hero, George Washington so the fact that Benjamin named his son after a a war hero from South Carolina further convinces me that Benjamin born in 1761 in King and Queen Co VA spent most of his life in the Carolinas and not Virgnia.
